Artist Of The Week on KWEST Radio is BLESTINA from St. Kitts and Nevis with brand new island vibe single “FREEDOM”
Blestina is a young, vibrant, gospel singer/songwriter from the beautiful twin island paradise of St. Kitts and Nevis. With a heart of compassion and a genuine love for God she aims to remind individuals through her music of just how precious they are in God’s eyes and give them hope even in the midst of despair. She describes her sound as a unique blend of Soul and RnB. However, reggae holds a special place in her heart. Her soulful sound is perfectly complemented by her smooth and equally powerful tone which consistently pierces the heart of every listener with conviction.
In 2017, Blestina debuted on the music scene with her first single “For You”, a groovy soca piece that expresses her burning desire to serve God anywhere that she goes. Three years later, in 2020, she released her second single “Come,” a slower, more soulful, mellow piece that is a clarion call to individuals to avail themselves to God. She recently completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology with management and fully intends to incorporate the lessons learnt about mental health and different coping mechanisms into her music in order to guide individuals with the help of God to a place of wholeness. Although her journey in ministry has just started, she believes that God has called her to do great exploits for His Kingdom.
