Artist Of The Week, Martez Gerard set to release New EP “POWER”

 

Martez Gerard is a native of Albany, GA. He graduated from Albany State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech and Theatre.

He began singing in church at the age of three. Experienced his directorial debut at the age of 12, and he has been leading music ministries ever since. He currently serves as Minister of Music at Rhema Word Cathedral in Albany, GA.

Additionally, Martez serves as a lead singer and director for Patrick Lundy and the Ministers of Music. He is a new solo recording artist on the weekends and during the summer, but during the week, he serves as School Improvement Specialist at Albany Middle School. If you tuned in to the PBS Special, “A Capitol Fourth”, then you saw Martez singing with Patrick Lundy and the Ministers of Music and multiple Grammy Award winning artist, Yolanda Adams. He has appeared on this show for 4 consecutive seasons singing with the likes of Amber Riley, CeCe Winans, and Vanessa Williams. He is also the author of a self-development book entitled SOAR (Successfully Overcoming Artificial Restrictions).

MG released his first single in September entitled, “My Stuff Remix”. My Stuff broke the top ten on the BDS Internet Radio Charts the week of March 28, 2021. It is available on all digital platforms. MG’s EP entitled Power, is available beginning April 16th. Martez was recently named a finalist for the Gospel Choice Music Awards Male Artist/Vocalist of the Year category.
